Q. What is in that fog coming off that tank?
ReplyDeleteA. That's what we'd like to know. We think it is a chemical tonic of VOC's
Q. Why isn't that tank covered?
A. Because it would most likely explode and because the City of Arlington has weak ordinances.
Q. Is it safe to walk or drive by that?
A. Probably not because it caused chest tightness and heart palpitations in a resident recently.
Q. Why is it flooded there?
A. A frac job had recently been completed. The area received a slight drizzling of rain, but not enough to accumulate to that much.
Q. The city storm drain is in the background. Is that run off safe to go there?
A. Since the Railroad Commission only tested for chlorides and no other extensive tests had been run, we don't know for sure, but what we do know is that all that water was released into the City's storm drain. We hope it did not contain fracing fluids or other hazardous substances.
