I also had classic health symptoms - headache, dizziness, nausea. It's a challenge to try to get out when homes values around here haven't appreciated in this area. They probably don't want us to know.Fish Creek Neighborhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11321914266332394403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5364673723029953824.post-73454940449004009452013-05-27T15:57:44.936-05:002013-05-27T15:57:44.936-05:00The RRC actually did inspect the "valve yard&...The RRC actually did inspect the "valve yard" which is just a few hundred feet away from these two metering stations. When we say we are in Gasland, we're not joking. It is THE epi-center.

Those homes were built long AFTER those metering stations. Goes to show that Arlington, Texas has virtually NO zoning restrictions. We allow homes to share fence lines with gas metering stations and gas drill sites. We are currently building an exclusive housing development (Veridian) across the street from a stinky, toxic landfill. Yee Haw!

When a city has non-existent zoning laws, it should come as no surprise that home values don't appreciate. It's difficult for people to sell and get out when you can't get a decent re-sale price to go somewhere else. It's like falling into a dark hole. Do these homeowners have any idea what's going on?

Sometimes, people can be so uninformed about infrastructure. And don't pay attention to what's in their own front and back yard. Sadly, the RRC actually inspected this site last fall, isn't that right? And never mentioned these details, as you have here.

It's clear from this, that we definitely can't expect the natural gas corporations that build these structures or the municipalities that zone for them to care about the dangers. Unbelievable.

Thank you for this story, FN. It's VERY important.Westchester Neighborhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02680654681555827977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5364673723029953824.post-59055978655449684952013-05-27T11:01:20.647-05:002013-05-27T11:01:20.647-05:00Wow this has been an issue since last year for tho...Wow this has been an issue since last year for those in that area...so sad it took so long to finally do something about it. Question now is if it is subject to higher pressure build ups with a regulator verses a vent system? I would hope not....but then again we all R just hoping we R not the next Kaboom victim in Arlington Gasland Texas. Hope has new meaning here and it ain’t the positive kinda hope that things will get better, the infrstructure only gets older and the storms R getter more intense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
